Unique Leaders Network Fallback Image

Jessica’s Story

Jess had always worked hard, some might say a little too hard. Getting ahead in the early days of her career was important to her because she knew she wanted to be ahead of the game when she had kids.

When she did take time out for kids her confidence took a bit of a hit. She was used to being a high functioning high achiever. Getting across the changes, juggling the mental load and sleepless nights took a bit to get used to.

Eventually she started kicking goals again and being promoted. She found it’s lonely at the top though, making tough decisions that affect others, feeling like you can never give your home or work life everything they need and barely having the time to just take care of yourself.

Jess heard about Unique Leaders through a friend and decided to go along to an event – after all it’s technically networking she told herself. What she discovered was so much more… It was not a typical networking event. No one was trying to sell anything, everyone looked relaxed and could speak freely.

They each had the chance to unload with people who ‘get it’. Jess and her friend strategised about challenges at work and another lady offered some great advice having just been through a similar situation herself.

Jessica left feeling lighter and all the better for knowing other people are experiencing the same things she is. She couldn’t wait to go to the next event.
